System additions over the last few years have come from specialized/hobbyist sources. The Transfi/Salvation TT arm and the cables from Grover Huffman evaluated my musical enjoyment to a totally new level.

Sgunther, I live in Kennesaw and purchased a Zesto preamp from Tom recently. Also been in contact with Vic at trans-fi also on Tom's recommendation. Might I drive over to Rome sometime to see your Terminator in action. Putting a system togrther.
Can you evaluate perfect pitch or do you have a means of measuring speed stability with TimeLine or a tachometer? If so, how does the Salvation perform?
Spiritofmusic, Yes the Salvation terminator combination is pretty special at a price that won't break the bank. Without going into all of the audiophile lingo, it sound more like music. There are only a few Salvations in the US. Did you listen to Tom's in Ft Wayne? I love the Terminator because you can easily experiment with small tweaks to improve the music. I recently sold my Meridian G08 because I never listened to it after the salvation arrived.
Hi Sgunther, I'm currently running a Michell Orbe tt w. Pederson plinth/armboard and Origin Live Ultra motor upgrades, SME V arm and Zu modded Denon 103 cart. I've recently auditioned the Trans Fi Salvation with Terminator T3Pro linear tracking tonearm. WOW! What can I say? Pretty much blown away! After listening to a modded Technics SL 1200 direct drive, I came away admiring it's precision, pitch stability and rhythmic propulsion compared to my belt drive Orbe, but felt it had a cold, sterile colouration which I ascribe to micro speed hunting 'jitter'. The Trans Fi, otoh, had all the positive attributes of the dd Technics, but maintained all the natural warmth and dimensionality of the Orbe. This I ascribe to the Salvation having a high torque motor giving dd like speed stability, but being purely analog with no digital feedback, didn't fall into the trap of continual control of micro speed variations, and so provided a more relaxed, yet precise presentation.
System edited: I have concluded that music can not get much better without significant additional investment. I can get different sound with different equipment that is consistant with the basic price of of my system but not necessarily better.
