Description

Trying out 5 watts of Single Ended Pentode and single driver, cross-overless speakers. So far, pretty good.

The biggest change was moving the system to the long wall of the room and adjusting the toe in to cross just in front of the sweet spot.

Changing to the MAC cables took the system to another level- just really made the music appear.

The sub is a bit slow, but does flesh out the lower octaves. I'm thinking of getting a new one, but we'll see. The jump to the Grado Ref Master was also a nice change.

All changes were done incrementally. :)

Room size is 12' x 21' x 8'. I've got panels (homemade) on both the long walls which have helped a lot. Next are corner traps and bass traps.

I'm listening to probably 75% vinyl. I just got the AG Phono, so I'll update with how it sounds compared to the current AES PH-1.

I listen to mainly acoustical, female vocal, jazz, and classical (and classic rock). Ok, and some 80's club music for the wife and kids to dance to.
