Dogs really do rule. My dogs took out the corner (1/8") of a week old Monitor RS6. I was over it in 2 minutes. They are worth the trouble we have to go to in order to protect our gear.
You wall cleaners are brave. I was born a dog lover, but at the age of fourteen a weekend spent with two Saint Bernards left an indelible impression. Then again, I now have three dogs, one of them with a $13k leg, so how smart am I. ;)
Your Rotel gear is nice. It's not the last word in transparency, but that can be a blessing with many recordings. It reminds me of that typical Mosfet sound - but with more solid low end. You can spend much more on quite a few boutique brands that won't sound much better. Both pieces are also great candidates for parts upgrades, but that voids your warranty...
