This Amp is a 04 version of Van Altine 550 exr. It was a personal Amp of Wayne owner or Bolder Cable for his own pleasure. He does not sell nor mod AVA equipment. It is loaded with Sonic Cap/Jensen 4 pole caps,Fairchild resistors,Bolder Nitro wiring, 61' Siemens ECC81 NOS tubes and HALO O Dampers,etc. It is very smooth and extremely Dynamic!
System edited: Modded Shanling really has come into its own as a exceptional CDP. The Blackgates/Sonic Cap and Fairchild diodes have increased the speed,impact and emotional qualities of the player with much more inner detail and the ever present hugh soundstage.
System edited: Switched to the AVA by Van Alstine Fet Valve550exr that was modded by Wane of Bolder Cable. It was his personal unit for his own pleasure. This amp has really made my HT3's sing. I like the changes and the Sonic Cap,NOS 61' Siemens ECC81 tubs w/HALO-O dampers. ACME IEC and Silver Fuses.
