One ZP80 is plugged to your computer network via CAT5 cable to the router. It then has access to all your ripped music on that computer, and any other networked drives, NAS, etc.
You use additional ZP80 at any location, and they wirelessly connect to each other. Each unit also has RCA in and out as well as digital out for connection to amp or reciever. You can play any song or playlist at any node. Either all synced together, or different song at each node.
It also has access to pandora.com, and any other internet radio station. The controller displays album art on its screen.
Each unit also has 2 CAT5 connections, and I have my PS3 plugged to the one in my theatre room.
sonos.com if you want more info.
I find myself listening to the sonos more because of its accessability to music. If you look at my other systems you'll see I have far better sources. But for me its really about music, not gear. I have over 4K CD's ripped now. I listen to music, not the gear.
