Hi guys,i'm very new to this site and i'm here to simply learn and hope to stick around for quite a while.I've been into Hifi for the last 10 years but nothing serious until of lately when i really invested some time and effort to assemble a decent system.Having said that, all my components were bought used either from the local market or from overseas.BTW,i'm from Singapore and how envious i'm of you guys who can have big dedicated rooms for Hifi whereas mine measures only 15ft by 10ft. My apology if this intro sounds boring...anyway, your advice and constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers
I have upgraded my aging Philips 850Mk2 CDP to a new Audiolab 8000CD CDP.
N. E. W. P-3 tube preamp
Pretty happy with this preamp.Currently trying out different 12au7 and 12bh7 tubes.I swap the original Cary Design 12au7 and RSD 12bh7 with Jan Philips 5814A/12au7 NOS and Hytron 12bh7 NOS.I feel the bass has tone down and its overly smooth on some materials but soundstage has gone wider.
AVI S2000MM mono block
British solid state mono block rated at 150w/ch.Funny thing is that its never run hot at all. Bought it from ebay UK.
Paradigm Studio-100 v2 floorstander
Huge and heavy speaker weighs 50kg each. Some people say its overkilled in my room. But honestly i don't feel its boomy..
