After over 50 years of spinning vinyl I'm making the move to an all digital system. Making a move in the next 4-5 months and don't feel the urge to mess with this much gear and thousands of records.
Thanks to Bill Parish of GTT Audio NJ for all the help, auditions, delivery, and set up. So far I've added the Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC and Roon Nucleus. I am using an EAT LPS linear power supply with the Nucleus too. I'll add a streamer down the road but for now using the Tambaqui as Roon endpoint and streamer. Streaming Tidal and Qobuz for now but have a bunch of DSD on harddrive I need to check out. So far, So good.
Moved off the Sounssmith Paua MKII to the My Sonic Lab Signature Gold cartridge. WOW! Big upgrade. I've been wanting to own one of these for awhile and it didn't disappoint.
Thanks Ron, I'll get more pictures up in the near future. The upgrade wasn't complicated. Just a couple switches. The hardest part is switching the binding posts on top section. The giks are combination reflection and absorbtion. I have very little room treatment. These got rid of a little slap echo i had.
The Yg Kipods speakers are IMO on a different level than any of the Thiels I have heard. But they $$$ a lot more than the 3.7s, which I like a lot. I owned the 7.2s and really liked them. But in the end they became to bright and had me only listening to a small amount of my music collection. Plus they were very demanding when it came to amps. They vandys I have heard that are the equal of the Kipods (but at around $20K more) are the 7s. Plus the Kipods are an easy load on amps. The 160wpc BAT amps really make them sing.
System edited: Traded my Benz LP and cash for a new LPS. As much as I love my Gullwing (which IMO is alot better than original LP) This LPS is a step up.
