You're right. The room is small with 20' ceiling that is why I work with an engineer to make it come together. The entire front wall and the top back wall is covered in acoustic carpet. The dry wall is brand called Quiet Rock. Insulation used is open cell foam. Same materials used in movie theater. GIK, Acoustimac and Silent Source combined for room treatments.
How it sound? 3D. I can tell where the lead singer is standing and which part of the stage the instruments are being played. I have been to RMAF 2014 and Vancouver Audio Show 2015. No room sounds better than mine IMHO. Even with their components double or triple the price of mine. It made me feel I really got a good bang for my buck. I am very happy with my listening room.
System edited: System edited: replaced the Mcintosh C48 and MVP891 to Manley Neo-Classic 300B Preamp RC and Oppo 105D with EVS 2ch full modification. New phono stage coming soon.
Thank you for the admiration. Seems like we have the same taste in sonic reproduction for choosing Tannoy's. Those mural are actually GIK acoustics room treatment. I live 12 miles away from downtown Seattle.
