My objective is to duplicate the sound of a good jazz venue as best I can. I'll never match it but getting close is fine. I've had various audio components through the years and tubes particularly DHT tubes/ASSET have gotten me the closest. So this is where I will settle down and appreciate.

This wonderful speaker is transparent,open and involving. It`s large yet completely disappears as the source of sound within the room. Very easy to drive,94db and 14 0hm impedance (Minimum 10 ohm). I replaced the stock Solens capacitor with the Duelund CAST in the crossover.

Superb performance. In my opinion , a masterpiece by Israel Blume. As would be expected, a wonderful match with its sibling the Frankenstein MK II.

Built by renown Ukrainian Abbas Zulfugarov. NOS DAC utilizing the classic Phillips TDA 1541 multi bit chip. Two 6080 tubes in the analog stage. 5 various rectifier tubes in the power supplies.

I agree with Chayro; my Total Eclipses sound better without the outriggers, and I have tried several different spike styles in them, as well as different affixing hardware (stainless steel hex bolts and washers are far superior to the supplied steel Allen bolts which are a pain). While I appreciate the added stability, the outriggers make the speakers slightly anemic sounding in my application. I am on hardwood over double thickness T&G 3/4" plywood.
I'm curious if you folks have experimented with removing the adhesive pads on the extender feet which hold both the brass spikes and which bolt to the bottom of the speaker. I have been playing with various aftermarket footers and spikes for my Total Eclipse (a treatise unto itself), and have found some degree of benefit in removing the pads from the side which faces the bottom of the speaker. Since the other side of the foot faces the visible side of the speaker, I've left that in place for fear of marring the finish. I've also dispensed with the PITA allen bolts in favor of stainless hex head bolts with stainless washers. When installing the extender feet, I also use a bar clamp to firmly push the extender feet into the sides of the speaker. To my ear, the combination of all this seems to firm up the mid/upper bass clarity of the speaker through the virtue of better coupling of the extender feet to the speaker and hence the floor.
