Description

I've had a little free time, so I thought I would finally post my system. I have been into Hi-Fi for about 10 years now. When I first got into this hobby I never imagined I would ever own first rate equipment. Well this hobby is like a Heroin addiction to say the least. I have managed to put together a musically satisifing system. I recently made the switch to an all tube system. This sound just seems to agree to me. Whether I'm listening to Bob Dylan, acoustic Jazz, or even the new Wilco, It just seems to get me closer to the music! I am still in need of a good preamp. Feel free to give me some feedback!

Thanks

James

Components Toggle details

    • Koetsu Rosewood Pro mkIV Cartridge
Once you hear a Koetsu, you'll understand why people shell out the dough for these!
    • SME Series V Tonearm
A bit more laid back than the Graham 2.2 I had before.
    • Sota Nova Turntable
Same mat & platter assembly as the Cosmos! More detail and yet more laid back sounding than the Sota Star I owned before. Great product!
    • Marantz CD-63 se
This has been my cd player for a long time now. I prefer vinyl, but this sounds OK.
    • Art Audio Vinyl 1 Phono Preamp
This is a wonderful product! Brings the music onto my room. Expensive, but worth it!
    • Quicksilver V-4 monoblocks
Recently made the switch from solid state to tube power. I'll never look back!
    • Vandersteen 3a Sig
I've had these Vandy's for 10 years now. Bought them used from a friend. Had them updated to 3A signatures about 4 years ago. They are ugly, but they sound great!
    • Transition Audio Design Silver Star Interconnects
Tommy Tutay makes some fine sounding cables that compete well with cables 5 times their cost! I suggest you give them a try! I use these for my phono cable as well as interconnects.
    • Acoustic Zen Satori Speaker cables
I am using 2 6 foot runs from the Vandy's to the Quicksilvers so they are biwired.
    • Chang Lightspeed CLS 3200
I bought this a long time ago. It has served me well
    • Arcici like suspension table My homemade model
Needing a replacement for my old Stand Design stand, I was lusting after an Arcici suspense stand. Being that they are $2500 I was timid to say the least, but this was the first stand where I easily heard a dramatic improvement in sound. I decided to build my own version, and am very happy with the results.
    • ASC Sound planks
I use 5 if these on wall behind my listening position, and one behind each speaker
    • ASC Tube Traps 2 16
    I use the 2 16

Great job on the rack. Looks like furniture. Probably saved yourself enough money to buy something else.
Enjoy!
