    • Otari MX-5050BII
Have two of these units. One for recording and the other is used for playback. The transport is modified so that the tape signal is taken directly from the playback head and connected directly to the balanced outputs bypassing the internal electronics. The outputs pass the signal to the tape head preamp inputs on the MP-3.

thanks, Clio...definitely not having a "too much bass" problem...it is just right! I have the highest value resistor in place and have totally removed the port extensions...

The more I listen to my Jazz Modules, the more I love them. Phenomenal in every way. I am having a hard time describing the sound other than saying, to me...they sound like a really, really good Ribbon Microphone... liquid, velvet, euphonious, enormous soundstage, 3d...(the RCA 44 comes to mind!)

the only way I will EVER change to anything different is if I get enough money to buy the dream makers, or if Duke , downs the road designs something that is somehow more amazing! (don't see any areas that need improving personally!!)

Duke has a lifelong customer in me. I searched far and wide(25 plus speaker combinations for trial and or/ownership) before finding Nirvana with the Jazz Modules. I was thinking, YES!! someone finally got it right!!!

Hey Clio,

what effect does the closing the port have?

curious about this one.

I just ordered some "acousta-stuf" foam to replace the polyfill..

still loving the speakers!

Duke also reccomends stuffing the ports with poly-fill from wal-mart if you want to tighten up the bass a bit(I love the bass, personally..and the speakers)

I own the Jazz Modules and man.. the best speakers i have owned at any price. my avalon indras and bw 802s are gone.. as well as my von schweikert vr4srs.
