Description

I have been updating and changing out this 2 channel system for just a little over one year. I started out with the smaller MG1.6R maggies and fell in love with their sound. Everything about this system is new to me...and I'm having a blast tweaking it out!!

I also have a great 6.1 home theater system upstairs with Pioneer Elite electronics and HD RPTV, B&W speakers and a huge SVS sub.

Hi Pummill,

I tested the new Rotel 1077, that class D amplifier, 4 days ago on my 3.6R. I'm bi-amplifying the maggies with a Marchand electronic xover. I have used 4 of the 7 amplifiers available into the Rotel. It was very good. Not as good as my actual amplifiers, but the Rotel is twice cheaper than my 2 amplifiers!
If you like the Rotel sound, you may like this one. It also helps to access bi-amp which represents a huge improvement on the maggies!
Or you could go for a second 1090 ;-)

Hi Pummil,

Great system that you have!
Did you try to put the tweeter inside instead of outside? I know the speakers are close one from each other but in all my tests, it has always been better inside. Soundstage is smaller but better. It seems also to me that it is easier to get deeper bass with tweet inside ;-)
