The first half is for the 2 channel stereo system. The second Half including a Harman-Kardon AVR-7300 is for the home theater. The PSB's are used for the L/R of the dedicated home theater, and B&W Matrix HT for the center. There are 2 other systems in the house, which I'll list separately. This 18 by 35' dedicated sound room/Home theater boasts 3 20 amp dedicated electrical lines for equipment. This all sits on 9" of poured concrete slab for stability and reinforcement.I welcome any questions or comments. The walls are all raised paneled oak, dental oak crown molding, and the rear of the room has a brick fireplace with an oak mantle and raised panels above. Heavy velvet drapery in front and on the back wall and heavy Burber carpeting througout. All furniture is Heavy overstuffed club chair type. you might say Ralph Lauren could feel very comfortable here. Oak walls are stained dark and above is painted a deep burgundy as are the drapes.
System edited: Replaced the theater speakers with full Infinity Interlude speaker system. Custom stand for the center channel. Raises it so all 3 tweeters are horizontaly even. Sound is amazing. Using the Mcintosh for stereo. very tubelike. Smoother than the Classe, which had a hint of hardness in the sound.
Well the Plasma is beautiful. Paires with a Sony 3D BR Player. Highspeed HDMI cables, 20' x 2 and a new layout. Just incredible. Now just recieved my new center for my back up surround system that sits on deck. 2 Infinity IL-40's, 2 IL-10's And the C36 center channel that I'm trying out now. Bought here off of Audiogon... All is amazing. I top it off with a Laser projector that shoots millions of tiny laser dots that dance all around the room. Just like a club in there!!
System edited: New Pics include Upgraded Xovers in the speakers. MF Trivista DAC No more big TV Just ordered a Samsung 65" 3-D Plasma that will hang on the wall.
Looking to sell off the B&W speakers and the Subwoofer and upgrade to the Nautilus 802. The Pioneer TV was sold and a Toshiba 58" DLP is there now, but I want to get a Panasonic 60-65" Plasma to put on the wall.
I had the preout from the Harmon Kardon into the ARC pre using the B&W's for the L/R but rather have 2 seperate systems. Movie soundtrack blew a woofer in the 802 dont trust it. Rather have them seperate. Use PSB Image 2b for L/R now its fine. Sounds real good. BTW, Replacing the woofer on the B&W was a nightmare, had to fabricate screw anchors cause the factory ones came loose and dropped inside the cabinet. If anyone needs to replace them ask me how.
System edited: The center channel is now the matching B&W matrix HTM. The 2 systems, 2 channel and surround are totally seperate. PSB Image 2b's are for the front surround now.The B&W's are for 2 channel only. A Classe DR-25 replaced the B&K EX442 for the stereo system
UPGRADE TIME AGAIN. Sold the B&K EX-442 and bought a Classe' DR-25 from my friend Charlie. Much more transparent, great imaging, soundstage. Tremedous bass. All in all much better. A real "you are there " experience.
