Happi, go to Audio Asylum, click on FAQ and read Joe's Tube Lore for an excellent consumer guide to 12AU7s, 12AX7s, 6DJ8s, 6922s and 7308s. Following some of Joe's recommendations, I would upgrade to the Siemens 7308s and Amperex 6922 PQs, though the Siemens 6922/E88CC and Amperex 6DJ8 Bugle Boy/A Frame are probably 85% as good at less than half the price.
