Description

My system is currently in a state of flux as I had to sell my SCD-1. I replaced it with the 775 I had at work, and revamped my work system. I finally have my own dedicated room, and it is a wonderful thing! I plan on either buying a CD player with volume control and unloading the preamp, or modding the 775.

Most of the time, yes, I prefer multichannel to stereo. It is, of course, dependent on the mix. But a well mixed m/c disc I nearly always prefer to the stereo. There are quite a few discs I own that I wont listen to in stereo period, unless I am in the car and dont have a choice. And even then I usually find myself waiting to be in my m/c setup before I listen to them.

System edited: The power cord changes dropped the noise floor significantly and widened my soundstage dramatically. All of my previous power cords were stock. The system also seems to have brightened up considerably, and I haven't had enough time to decide whether this is a good or bad thing, but I will know soon.
