I found a couple of pictures of a SET that I built for a friend 30 years ago. It exists only in my memory now. Although you will never be able to hear it but I thought you might enjoy seeing the pictures as much as I do.
I built this in 1979 for a friend of mine who took this picture on the day we fired it up in his system.
All Tango transformers and chock, GE VT-4C output tubes, delayed B+, 19W/ch at 5% THD. It was a distortion generator but it was the best sounding amp driving a pair of Bozak Symphony.
DIY 211 SET inside
Here is the inside look of the same amp. All point-to-point wiring. The ground bus was pure silver wire. Now I look back, the workmanship was actually pretty poor. If I knew he was going to take a picture, I would have had lined up the wires neatly.
I miss that amp.
