Components Toggle details

    • Esoteric X-03SE
Pro: Violin solo and classical Con: Lack of emotion on some vocal recordings, may be too much detail~
    • Jeff Rowland Continuum 500
Lacking the lower note control, great mid & upper range int. amp
    • Dynaudio Confidence C1
Very detail and great for a small room like mine.
    • Cardas Golden Reference 1M IC
I haven't tried some more expensive ones yet but their performance is acceptable as of now.
    • Cardas Golden Reference 2.5M Speaker Cable
Same as IC, saving up some cash for something different. I really wish to test the Tara Labs The one and Superconductor on my system. Hope it happens soon~
    • Musical Fidelity Stable-1 x2
The before and after difference is noticeble. It's worth the price tag if you can still find one on the market.
    • Oyaide F1 / M1 + EE/F-S 2.6 (2M)
I test it on both DAC and Int. Amp. Difference is very noticeble. It's being used on the INT amp now as I found JR Continumm 500 sounds more neutural with this power cord. May be it's just in my setup. I highly recommend this power cord for anyone who wants to dig more detail out of their current system. It does really help. Price might be a little high for a custom cable.
    • Oyaide P004/C004 + 4N Copper Litz (2M)
Used on the X-03SE, beyond my expectation for the price i paid.
    • Oyaide R1
The before and after difference is not as noticeble as the F1/M1 + EE/F-S 2.6 but it's a solid outlet.
    • Solidsteel HS-2
Very beautiful stand. Simple and solid.
    • Weiss Medea
    Very smooth while detail.
    • Tara Labs The 0.8
    Great imaging with smooth highs.

Hi shodulik
It was because I didn't need a 3 shelf model back when I had the x-03SE & continuum combo. I do believe putting gears off the ground is the best isolation.
Thank you :)

Hi Ths364
There's nothing behind my listing position, though, it has 2 meter away from the rear wall. I did try to put pillows behind my head, i found having reasonable amount of absorbing material on side walls helped further. Thanks for reading! :)

I tried to toe in several different amount and i found the more they are toed in, the narrower the stage is. They are settled at 10 degree to get a balanced stage and image.

Frank:

I haven't tried a lot of other int amps, i've tried MF A3.2, NAD M3 and the JR i currently have now. I found this JR matches my C1 the most as of now. The upper range really impresses me.

hi Jazzcrooner12
I used several different setup before. I 've used musical fidelity A3.2 CDP + Int amp + Tri-Vista 21 DAC + B&W CM1. To be honest, my current setup can not beat my old setup playing vocal recordings. Though, I started playing classical musics a while back and I found my old setup lacks the detail so most of them are gone now :D

Also played with a pair of active monitor Dynaudio (BM5a), KEF XQ20 and sonus faber Concerto, may be the price difference is quite big, they not very impressed compares to C1. They are good speakers though. I got what I paid for.

Thank you for your comment. Those are not finger prints but the reflection of the flowers in the back :D
