Description

Well, the components aren't as fancy as all the rest of you guys. In actuality, this system doesn't belong on this website, but I'm going to post it anyway, because I'm fairly happy with it, and this is my first attempt at a decent stereo system! I've saved up for this system for a while, and got a lot of the equipment at cost. Woohoo!

The system is pretty over powering for my apartment building. I like to be considerate to my neighbors, but it's so tempting to crank it up!

Other components: Blue Jeans Cable 12Gauge

Sharp 45 inch LCD

I hope to upgrade eventually to some more higher end equipment, but the more I spend, the less I have for my scotch! (note the 30 year Glenfiddich on my office speakers.)

Thanks for looking

I agree on building your own speakers. If you can build those rears then I have a dandy and VERY simple design that will blow away many other speakers in the 10 grand realm for about 500$ and they soooo simple. Ive been building speakers since the late 80,s and I would never buy another set of speaker again. Check out these drivers and if you want the designs let me know and I will get them to you. First the heart is a GR Research M130 with a HI-VI RTC-1 Planar tweeter then a Silver Flute radial 6 1/2,and last but not least a hidden downward firing 8 inch JL sub. The design only uses one cap or two if you incorporate a switch and a resistor. This is a minamalist design for tube guys with power so all drivers are DC coupled for sonic purity and 91 DB so not the most effecient but once you hear them you wont care!Oh I use them with SS with no problems.
