Description

System is used in the living room as a home theater and will playback demanding movies cleanly at very high SPL.

The front wall has four large bass panel traps and three smaller mid-treble traps. No flutter echo or upper bass bloom. :)

Works very nicely for jazz and instrumental music as well.

Not so good with Rock; not enough midbass oomph with legacy recordings.

My favorite component is the Adcom GFA 5800 Amplifier.

I've had this amp for over ten years and wouldn't trade it for anything. (well, maybe a big Levinson or Krell)

My least favorite is the old Marantz DVD 6200 player; too finicky with media burned on computer and it tends to pause noticeably during DVD layer changes. I'm definitely trading in this player for a Denon that can read SACD.

I'm also tempted to trade in the speakers and sub(which I'm fairly satisfied with) for a pair of the new B&W N802D.

Great looking system in a very comfortable space. Based on your photo, you've passed the WAF with flying colors :). I used to own a pair of CDM9's, which in my opinion, are as good as it gets for home theater ! Has B&W improved the Bass response on the 802D series? It seems that Bass has been an issue with the 802's....
