Description

Updated basic stereo system. Newly joined the band is a pair of Klipsch Reference RF-25's. Awesome dynamic power. I had to kick the B&W's out because of the size of my new living room. Around 16WX25DX8H. Klipsch provide a more "live" sound, which is what I have been looking for all these years. I just purchased a Jolida JD-100 CDP. Amazing unit, opened up the sound and definatly more enjoyable to listen to over the Sony ES unit I had. I also upgraded the tubes in my 1701 to Tung Sol from Ei. The Tung-sols are more lush and musical than the Ei tube, which made my system hard, although good tubes for the Jolida CDP.

Hey HighEnd64-

Room treatments as in curtains and such? Or as in foam for the corners etc?

Paneling is going. We just moved in 3 weeks ago. Jolida works great with the Klipsch. I am hoping for the Jolida CDP soon :)
Thanks!

System edited: Here are the pics. TV is small, but we watch about 2 hours of TV a week. Some day a big screen, but more important things first. Paneling eats alot of the light, we will be changing that soon.

Thanks for the review. I really like the HSU subwoofer. I am really surprised by its performance. I am sure that there are better subs out there however, you have to consider the price point and performance ratio. This can be a crazy hobby that leads to spending tons of money on components for slight increases in performance. I am really happy with the subwoofer. I considered the VTF series, but I thought that they were too large for my application.

Happy listening!
