Description

This system was started about one year ago. I started off wanting to buy a budget all-in-one home theater system. But I'm the type of person that always wants to get the best bang for his buck. So I started doing research on the internet, and one year later here I am, completely addicted to this whole hifi thing. I am considering selling all the home theater stuff that I bought (and didn't list as part of my system here) to fund getting into vinyl.

The Totem's will be out the door as soon as I can afford the new PMC GB1's. And then it's on to vinyl. Probably a Rega P3 or something in that same league. Since the Krell doesn't have a phono section, I'll also need a relatively inexpensive ,ie $300-400 range, phono preamp. Any suggestions for that would be greatly appreciated.

Any other suggestions would be a great help as I'm realizing that I've got a huge amount to learn!

Absurd !!! that's unacceptable. Good you found an alternative dealer, any reputable shop should be happy to do the service. Quick note on the upgrade/job itself. It takes very little time, I got mine back the next day (once the parts were in, and that only took a day).
Your reference to the upgrade eliminating most of the fatigue and brightness, depends on what else you are using really. For example, I will be leaving Bryston for tubes soon to warm and hopefully soften some of the edgy or crispyness of the upper end of my FB1s. My cabling requires some work too so....
Regardless, the '+' install is great. I've been burning mine in for a week now and every day I notice an improvement.
Nice view by the way.

Pilotboy, if you love the FB1s now, do the upgrade, I did...little investment for huge return.
