Metamorphosed from an all Arcam system. The cd 23 survived, out went the FMJ A22(integrated)& P25(power amp,)to be replaced with a Bryston BP25 & 4 BST which made way for the ARC LS 2B & 14 BST.Its been quite a journey at a fairly hectic pace.Quite remarkable considering that only a few brands are available in this part of the world(New Delhi,India).
Most immediate goal is to replace the preamp, possibly with an ARC SP16.Need a remote and an inbuilt phono stage before I upgrade the turntable(Rega 25 ??).
Next would be the speakers, wife and budget permitting.Love the B&W 802Ns.Would need a dedicated listening room which I don't have...dreams ,dreams and more dreams.
bought used with 19 years of the warranty left! The Bryston has been replaced by a pair of home grown tube mono blocs. Not quite sure what to do with the 14 BST.

Audioquest Mont Blanc
Equipped with the famed DBS, am yet to figure out whether it makes any difference. OTW a super yet expensive cable. Great transparency with the ELS panels.
System edited: Some recent pics. Have acquired 2 pairs of Lyrita tube mono blocs. This has led to greater bass definition with a more focussed soundstage and imaging. Swapped the speaker cables for the AQ Mont Blanc which has resulted in a tad more transparency...
Glenfihi I checked with lyritaaudio. The site is currently down and should be operational shortly. David Sorry for this delayed response.Would love to have you come over and check my system.Send me a mail at [email protected] and we can work out the modalities. Cheers
Thanks Kozine. The room acoustics were awful as this is a basement with little circulation. Had put cork panels on the front wall which looked really tacky. The quasi bamboo panel hides the cork wall. Cheers and happy listening
In the two years since I posted the above system it has changed almost beyond recognition. The only constant is the Arcam FMJ CD23.The preamp and the the power amp have changed. The ARC LS2B made way for a ARC SP 16 which has been dumped for a home grown( made by a friend-Lyrita Audio) preamp and two pairs of Lyrita Audio mono blocs(50 wpc each).I know this sounds incredible but its the truth as my ears know it.The Lyrita Audios whip the pants of two components listed in Stereophile's recommended list, ie the ARC SP 16 and the Bryston 14BST.The amazing thing is the cost. A tube preamp and 4 tube monoblocs cost the USD equivalent of 2k as opposed to 8.5k for the Bryston/ARC duo.You can check out the lyrita gear at www.lyrita-audio.com. The B&w CDM 9NTs have made way for a pair of Martin Logan Odysseys. Have acquired a Clearaudio Emotion TT and the vinyl journey has restarted. The bulk of my vinyl collection is nearly 25 years old and in remarkable condition. Have also moved house and acquired a dedicated listening room in a basement. The Gods have been kind...
