Hi all, just posting the first time in the foru. Been reading many of the posts for sometime though. Anyway, this is my system. I am mostly interested in vinyl but I have tried to make my digital side sound as good as possible without breaking the bank which in turn would break my head when the wife found out. Anyway, the only thing that I am planning on adding from here is a nitty gritty.
Don't listen to many CDs but this player sounds good and is reliable.
California Audio Labs Sigma
This D/A converter actually makes CDs bearable to me. It sounds nice and warm and gives great fullness to the CD.
Project Audio Debut Carbon
Add the speedbox to this turntable and it is phenomenal. Great sounding budget turntable.
Ortofon MC-10 Super
Very nice budget cartridge. Worth every penny!
Rotel RC-960bx
Nice sounding preamp, nothing fancy just good clean sounding music.
Rotel RB-850
Nice little amp. Does everything that I need it to do.
Magnepan SMGa
Great sounding speakers for those on a budget and a small room. They actually make my room sound bigger than it is. Wonderful sound staging from a "budget" level speaker.
Audioquest Evergreen
Not the best cables but for my system they work great. All of my components are connected with Evergreen except my CD to D/A converter.
Audioquest Type 4
Great cable for those of us that are on a budget
Logitec Squeezebox
I use the squeezebox to interface with music on my computer. I also use it to connect to Rhapsody and radio stations.
Very nice system, but you should remove "Almost" from its title. A true audiophile system is one that you enjoy and is comprised of quality gear. You are there ! Happy Listening.
