Description

This system can get down. You should hear how good James Brown "In the Jungle Groove" sounds! I have the speakers on the supplied spikes which tightened the bass up a lot. The Amp is on a dedicated line (which is on it's own Bus) and the Phono pre takes its 13W from the same outlet/line as well.

Future components scheduled to include: Logitech Squeezebox Duet, and a decent DAC or Arcam 137/139, whichever wins the showdown. I'm also looking to add some cooling in the form of a computer fan to the Primaluna, since I'm concerned about the heat decreasing tube life.

I'm now full tilt into Steam Cleaning every LP a la the massive thread Crem1 started here.

This is my only system aside from my bedroom set-up, I only get 5 channels of TV, and exclusively own live concert DVD's. The main job of this system is to be able to steadily interpret all styles of music that I listen to including: STAX Soul, Funk, Rock, Jambands, Bluegrass, Jazz, Orchestral, the Grateful Dead & Phish, early Country, and the CBC & NPR.

Thanks to all on Audiogon for their intrepid knowledge!! I read countless hours of posts (on my Blackberry in airports) before buying most of the gear. Feel free to offer input, and Yes I know the Oppo is not Hi-Fi.

I have a lot of hobbies and this is one of them. Money matters and I worked and saved for this Funk Machine. It gets a few hours every day I'm home. Vive Le Dance!!
