Description

I am a young audio enthusiast, at only 25 years old and I have not been into stereos and audio gear for very long. It all starts with a love for music, and the emotions that can be brought out from wonderfully produced music.

My desires have changed drastically over the course of a very short period of time. I first started getting into stereo equipment and audio gear about 5 years or so ago. I have moved from all hand-me-downs to a complete vintage rig, to where I am today. I have found in my short and sweet journey that less is most certainly more for my enjoyment of an audio system. I find it more challenging to see how few of components I can use to create a wonderful system that I am completely enthralled with. So far so good. I have thoroughly enjoyed every step of the way. My system is able to transport me to a wonderful place of calm and serenity. That place is right within the music.

    • Music Hall 25.2
I have received this player and plan to upgrade the opamps in the unit and the output caps for the time being. Maybe down the road throw in an aftermarket clock. I can say this is a solid great sounding player for the price point.
    • Yamaha YP-D71
This is probably my favorite piece of gear. It has phenomenal build quality. I really like how it just looks like a classic table. Nothing too fancy about it or too modern. This table really help me to see the potential that the vinyl medium can bring. Keeping this one forever.
    • Emotiva Power Cord x3
Nice well built IEC power cables. I have one for my Decco integrated amp. After capacitor upgrades I plan to upgrade the power cord on the new CD player and for my subwoofer when funds permit.
    • unknown M&K LDM 125
Rock solid stands. Stole these from my theater speakers. These are very solid and sand filled to further protect from resonance.
    • DIY Flex Rack
Awesome flexible rack made from bargain wood and some gel stain.
    • SVS SB-2000
This is a wonderfully musical subwoofer. I could not be happier with this purchase. Simply one of the best subs I have had the pleasure of hearing. I have had this for about 6 months now. Very happy with moving to a sealed design for this system.
    • Peachtree Audio Decco 50
This is one of the newer pieces in my system. It has been my transition from vintage gear into more modern. This is one of the best integrated amplifiers I have ever had the pleasure of using. Talk about amazing features. The built in DAC on this unit is phenomenal. I sold off my external Schiit audio one as the built in Scott Nixon designed DAC is more than enough for me.
    • Audio-Technica USA AT-440ML
Nice cart. This is a wonderful match with my Yamaha table.
    • DIY Blue Bombers x2
Nice custom DIY RCA interconnects. They have nice screw locking connectors. Great looking and sturdy cables. They transfer the signal as intended. No other voodoo magic claimed here.
    • DIY Phono Pre-Amp CNC MM phono pre/ OPS power supply
This is a homemade phono pre amp. This is my first electronic component build. Really a great piece of gear! Kicks the Cambridge to the proverbial curb.
    • LSA-1 Signatures
These are brand new to me and I am really looking forward to these being with me for awhile.

Solid looking system, agreed the Energy speakers are often over looked around here. Keeping things simple is the key to real audio enjoyment, in my humble opinion, after all it should be about the music as much if not more that about the gear.........

If you ever have the chance get in front of some Magnepans....even the humble MMG's are amazing.

Best
