Wow- impressive retro system. Like the teddy bear sound treatments.

I'm back for another look at your collection. So very impressive. One question, is everything hooked up to listen?

Hello!

Love seeing your system :-) Good sounding, too!

Best,

I had the requisite AR 2ax and then the AR 3a speakers lke a lot of followers of the crowd then. But was always totally enthralled by the sound of the less mainstream and less popular Rectilinear III (high boys)a friend had in his system. Might have been more colored but boy could they rock-bass to die for. Maybe it was the extra beer we drank at his house vs mine. He was a good German so we had some good stout stuff in the fridge back then. The good old days...

If you graduated high school in the late '60s, wouldn't you be a baby boomer. If so, your system should be called Baby Boomers Vintage System.

Bobgates,

I had the same system right out of college that you had minus the Knight reel-reel not that I didn't lust after a r-r. I used the Shure V-15 Type III MM cartridge in my dual.

Fabulous!

Very nice! That reminds me of my college system; had the Dynaco PAS preamp, Stereo 70 and A-25 speakers along with a Dual 1019 and Knight kit reel-to-reel.

Love those AR-3A's. They were pretty special in their day and still sound good today.

Great vintage system!

Just added a pair of $400 nearly mint Klipsch Forte II's a couple of weeks ago (not in this pict) and I'm very fond of their sound. No room for La Scalas or K'horns, but the Fortes are just fine, thank you :-)
