Rsjm80, I also have a rather low budget system that's still a work in progress. Here is a cheap tweak that really works, all though few people believe it does. Go to wall mart, K-mart and get some 12inch bicycle inertubes, blow them up and put them under ALL of your components, do an A,B comparison. This will make a very noticable difference in the sound as it isolates the electronics in the cases away from the outside world. Besides their only $2.99 each! How can you go wrong? Works great for turntables too. You should listen to AMC's DAC-9 great sounding and great priced.
