Description

Conservatively put together after reading reviews, forums and magazines from the U.S and U.K.

I am open to any kind of music but listen to mostly World, Vocal Jazz, Latin, Dylan and Waits.

Next on the purchase list is a pair of headphones as I am up late every night listening to music.

Thank you for any input and advice on how to improve or refine my first foray into nirvana.

Great starter system showing good listening does not have to be only for the rich and famous. But, I can only guess what your research will find when you get to the rich and famous stage of life. The Grado headphone line has the distinction of sounding very satisfying and alive when driven by a simple headphone output of CD player or preamp/integrated amp. If you can afford to leapfrog over the fine Grado "starter" models then the SR-325 is a high end choice having the ability to sound great now, and take you higher if you choose to upgrade source components as time goes by. I am sure you will be surprised how seductive the "you are there" Grado quality is with vocals, late at night.
