Like Viridian said, it's nice to seem someone else with a tuner, too. I also have a tape deck but I only use it for playback of my ameteur performances from High School and College. And in that purpose mine suits me well. You might also consider a use turn table and DIY phonostage. There is lots of music out there on vinyl for a $1 or two. Though I have spent as low as 50 cents and as high as 8 bucks for used vinyl. new vinyl tends to run $13 to $30. It's something else to think about.
