Description

Well, it has all changed again, I should just relist it as it has changed so many times since creating this as the "3rd" system. One thing is for sure, Ever Evolving has been accurate.

Hey Brian,

You should get a job with Stereophile, you have tested so much equipment. lol. I'm all ears, I would like to hear your opinions on the C-46/MC-402 combo? I know TAS raved over these two products. I am sure they sound great(especially with the B&W's) but I am wondering if you miss the tube sound? I used to have the McIntosh C2200 Tube pre with 275 tube amp and I changed my system around and got the McIntosh C45 and MC-352 amp with B&W 802's. I thought I lost something going back to Solid State; especially with vocals. I wanted to know if you felt the same? Maybe for the next set-up you could do (2) MC-275's and a C2200 (or the newer pre-tube one C-201?) All the best, Andrew

Hi Brian,

I have been admiring and respecting your choices in hi-end gear through the past year. I think your last change really shocked me. You went from a Musical Fidelity Kw-500 to a McIntosh MA-2275. Don't get me wrong, I love the MA-2275 but I would expect that the 802D's would require so much more power than the 75 watts to come alive. Have you ever thought about JM Focal Labs or Sonus's? What do you think your next move will be? Best Wishes, Andrew
