How many of you had these speakers? Took these babies out of the boxes last year after 20 years of storage and not a scratch, however the grills disintegrated. The new grills have been installed and it's 1975 all over again.
My dad had these speakers and they were my 'gateway drug' to hi fi- he purchased them in the army px in germany. I loved them. The bass and power is incredible. Very forward, excellent for live recordings, r&b, and surprisingly, were great on opera too. I like the old grilles in the bright colors -- very 1970s, but I never saw the original ones due to feline activity. Enjoy these speakers and hang on to them -- they are a treasure, despite some shortcomings, the sound from them can't be replicated with today's speakers. Glad to hear the paper bass drivers did not disintegrate. I regret my father sold them.
