the grand veenas. I go back and forth between using a bat vk 60se and a moscode 402au on them depending on the season. it is very easy to detect the sonic signature of what you using source/amp. they have been for (me) my favorite speaker, next to (and i'm sorry i sold them) the proac response 2s.
i listen to a wide variety of music, and i owned and auditioned many other brands in the process of putting together a good system (i enjoy them, and that's all that matters, anyway.) as for the complaints of them being harsh when being "pushed" one might want to get an spl meter, because at least in my room the are plenty loud enough.
best purchase i have made for the buck...hands down.
