Description

I love diy. Made my own phone- loudspeaker - net cables in silver and carbon. The sound of horn and 300b love it.

Now I am tube rolling.

Since last I have made a Garrard 401 with a Schroder tonearm and a lot of tweaks. I dont belive how good this old girl sounds.

Lately I have made a tonearm that is an intermediate step between a Schroeder and a Well Tempered tonearm. Golf ball has a magnet on the underside life and are immersed in a jar with oil and a magnet. It plays great. Arm is made of a golf club.

Hello Hancro

While I built garrrard 401 I had a Sota star saphifire with a copy Schroeder arm and a linn lp12 and a Michell with a Moerch dp6 tonearm and the homemade you se in the pictures. The difference between these gramophones and this I play on now are the other playd sounds while this one plays music .

Hi Oleslot,
A fascinating DIY system!
Have you compared your turntable/tonearm combination to anything we are familiar with?

I have actually had the pleasure of listening to this quite unique system. My overall thought was that there where limetless headroom combined with a huge soundstage.

One of the very very importent variables of any system is the acoustic properties of the room in which it's operating. Here Ole has made a enourmous effort and achieved what i would identify as the best listeningroom i have ever experienced. It's at the same time very fast, but not hard and short but not dull.

Best performance is with the turntable and 30 inch arm, but you have to filter out the analogue problems like "rummel" and noise, no problem it's very convincingly better and more interresting this way.

Ole, thak you for your time and good luck with your never ending quest of value for money!

Regards
Asger

They are my diy version of Eichmann`s topper just better. Testet them against toppers. They remove vibrations from the items. Yours Ole

One of the most unique systems I've seen, looks like it's been a fun and rewarding DIY project. Outrageous horns.

whats with the little sculptures do they help with vibration ?

Thanks. I just love Diy - and the best part is that my girlfriend like/love it to, the sound and the look- as a grown up I like to play. Ole

That is one cool looking system. I bet it sounds wonderful, too.
