I can only imagine how they sound. What I might try to do, and I say might, is when I am done all of the what can be called peripheral stuff, is see if I can't try and save up for some Viva's. But that will take a long time and I won't be able to start for a long time. But I am glad that the Scalas are making you happy. For the time being I will just have to manage with my 1027's. With the new Live Line cables I have, they sound really good now. Enjoy those speakers.
I have no doubt that the sound you are getting is top shelf. Thanks for the tip on the heat. My Bryston runs very hot, and to be truthful, I was trying to get something that would cut down on the heat. I have a dealer near me who has Accuphase, Boulder, Ayre, BAT, Pass Labs and Mark Levinson. I have another dealer that I can get to that has Audio Research and Classe'. Do you know the MSRP on the Accuphase? Thanks
The pictures do look very nice. Do you try and pull the speakers forward when you listen to music? When I moved my speakers out so there was nothing in between them, it made a huge difference. Thanks for the tip on Pass. Does the amp get very warm? Glad you got speakers that really move you. I have heard allot of the older Wilson stuff and a bit of the newer stuff. I will say that I never was a huge fan of the older stuff but I do like the new stuff that I have heard. Thanks again for the tip.
Nice updated system. I see you changed from the 1027's to the Sophia's. Did the Wilson's just sound that much better? I still have my 1027's and I think I will for a while. If you can remember, do you still feel the pass would be a "better" match for the JM's then the Boulder 850's? I heard the Boulder's with the Wilson WP8 and 810 preamp and I was very impressed with how it sounded. But you have a killer setup there. Congrats.
