Hey Diebenkorn,
Did you ever get the email I sent you requesting the depth dimension (in feet & inches) as well as the height of the bay window? I'll need this info. to run some calculations for speaker placement & furniture layout.
Thanks,

bruce30

Nice setup but with those walls you really need some room treatment. Something like these panels aren't terribly expensive and can be arranged attractively. I use the Aurelex products but they aren't the greatest looking unless you want the industrial look.

I actually moved the amp over to the other side of tv and switched the speakers speaker on left is now on right and vice versa, this has been the best solution I have found. The speaker on the left has the gold sticker (says point towards the center of the room) pointing slight towards the left wall and the speaker on the right sticker is pointing straight ahead. Note left is right of the TV (facing towards it) and the you can figure out the other one. Nice to have found the sweet spot/s, thanks for the help. New dac either audial or monarchy will be taking over duty for the audiozone.

COngrats on the setup!

For best sound, you will want to experiment with placement a bit once the OHms break in, which may take awhile if they are new. They will probably sound much different once broken in and the location where they sound best may change.

Placement will affect mostly soundstage, imaging accuracy and muscle and extension in the low end. Toe out can help adjust the timbre as you've discovered. You want the front inside corners (tweeter is oriented in this direction) to point towards your listening location in general. Pointing these directly towards listening position will reduce soundstage width somewhat as more sound comes from the tweter versus the wide range Walsh driver. POinting the front inside corner in front of main listening position will widen the soundstage in general in comparison.

The dimensions of the room are H 9.5 by W 13.2 , bay window width is 7.4 Unfortunately I do have some lifestyle limitations and a significant other. Any help would be greatly appreciated though. I was thinking of moving the speakers against the side walls (either one) and using that for music and some speakers for movies where mine are placed now. How are the planets? Have you heard the Ohms? If you need any more info let me know and thanks again.

D,
It seems we have similar placement problems only on opposite sides. My rather unfortunately oriented room has 2 entryways in the corner by my left speaker. My wife is more than a little weary of changing the room around because of decorative reasons (we'd have to reinstall our tv & sell some display cabinets & such.) Since you don't seem to have these lifestyle limitations, I'd like to take a stab @ setting up your room & system. I'll just need the over all dimensions (H x W x D to the nearest inch) as well as the width of the bay window.
Cheers,
B

So far I've used a Blue Circle integrated which I may go back to. Now I'm trying the new Wyred integraed.

Thanks Foster, what amp are you using with your Ohms? I turned the speaker closest to the amp 45 degrees to the left and it has improved the sound.

Nice system. Welcome to the "family Ohm." I also once owned the DK integrated. I recently had my speakers upgraded by John to Ohm Walsh 5000's. Keep posting on the Ohm Walsh Micro Tall thread if you are looking for more input about your setup.
