I have been wanting to get Joseph audio perspective2 Graphene (JAP2) ever since I heard them at an audio show. Been many years wondering about having these speakers in my listening space. Now they are here and they don't disappoint. They do everything right and very truthfully reveal music I listen to.
Pass Labs X250.8
Coming from Bryston 4B Cube which is Class AB amps, the sound of pure class A amp like Pass has been a refreshing change. X250.8 is a powerful amp, yet sounds really refined. It is transparent with a slight warmth, like a fine tube amp. Music sounds 3D where it excels front to back soundstage articulation. Due to its sonic characteristic, I would not match it with a rolled off high speaker. It pairs beautifully with my Josep Audio Perspective 2 speakers.
Linear Tube Audio MicroZOTL Preamplifier
I really enjoy this preamp. After using Simaudio Moon 390 for number of years, I wanted to try different preamp. Preamp is really important, it is soul of the system. There are some good to excellent preamps in the market, but most of them are out of my reach. With some searching, I ran into LTA and their reference preamp. After many hours of reading reviews and comments from forums, I pulled the trigger. I could not believe ordering an expensive HIFI gear unheard online, but for some reason, I was not concerned. After living with this device for a year, I can confidently say that it sounds very good and I prefer it over many well known and more costly preamp. I upgraded the output tubes to PSVANE 6SN7 and fuse to Synergistic Research Purple tube that elevated the sound much higher level! There are some quirks with this preamp but overall it is an excellent performer for the money.
Allnic Audio H1202
Bought used. Probably one of the best used item I purchased. I cannot complain its sound especially when replacing fuse with Synergistic Research Purple tube.
Pure Fidelity Harmony
There are endless number of turntables to choose from (like anything in Hifi), but only few caught my eyes in terms of design, look, and price. The Harmony table fits that bill. It is rather a compact sized table and it accommodate 9.5 inch arm. It is sort of a hybrid design where John Stratton who builds the tables out of BC, Canada (eh) applies some weight on the table but nothing like a small car. The motor speed is spot on as it can adjust speed in the Conductor device. This is my first and last turntable purchase, and I think it looks and sounds wonderful.
