Well I do agree the Pulsars deserve their own stage to shine but as we both know the Pulsars do not draw attention to themselves. Why they are not on stands is because of the wife. Stands are not aesthetically pleasing and there is a risk with the cats. I can live with that for now. Your comment on the Rega 3 is funny. I got it recently to replace the entry level Project turntable I had. I have to say musically it is light years better than the Project turntable. So I am happy with it for now. Thanks for the feedback.
I think of that as an almost perfect system - minimalist, everything of good or very good quality, very little fuss or muss. Having the Rega turntable (which their prime designer calls a "vibration measurement machine") share a shelf with those wonderful speakers seems like a compromise. We all have to make them in our various situations, but I do wonder if a nice set of stands might make what is really good even better.
