I have always felt it is a better return on my money for enjoyment to pursue several expressions of sound at a high level than to limit myself to just one presentation. Imo, if I select carefully, I can capture the lion's share of performance of a certain genre of speaker, allowing me to spread the resources to capture several technologies. The variety game can be played anywhere along the performance spectrum, which is one of the best aspects of the hobby. 

I am a system builder, so making a system is like cooking a meal. There are endless combinations of gear, each with its own particular attributes. I would become bored quickly if I had to settle on one setup. Some express their desire for variety in media, but it seems you and I both like it in terms of equipment. It's a great way to enjoy music! 

Early on, I swapped between the Vandersteen 1C and the Maggie 1.6QR. I discovered the Eminent Technology LFT-8A, and that became my flavor of sound for a while. I tend to like hybrid speakers for their combination of macrodynamics associated with the dynamic drivers and openness associated with dipole designs. 

Full range and concentric speaker types also have their own particular characteristics that are not attainable through other designs. If you are looking to expand your experience, a full range or concentric speaker would be a consideration. There are more models showing up having full range drivers with supplemental bass driver(s).
