Based on the Sony DVP-NC685V, this SACD player features a SET output stage where the tube is accessible from the rear, making tube rolling fun and easy. Many 9A base twin triodes may be used (comes stock with Ruby 12AU7).
The Accoustat 2+2 are a great speaker. Had the Accoustat 3's myself for 10 years. Did a few mods to them such as heavy duty stands that were adjustable with spikes for rake. I also put braces from the stand to the panel to form a triangle. This tightened up the bass and gave better focus. Thanks for the photos, brings back lots of good memories. Nice system, enjoy.
