As I have aged my preference in my system has changed drastically. I was a ss based system playing only cd's. I am now a tube system playing only vinyl.
The finest preamp I ever owned or heard. I've heard alot of both tube and ss. Even when it was connected to my Krell 400cx it was far superior to the KCT. Mine is black.

These are the best amps I ever heard. I have listened to alot of Krell, quite a few Macintosh (both ss and tube) and AR. These are by far my favorite.
Silverline Audio 17.5 Piano Black Monitors
My favorite monitor speaker. I owned Krell Res. 3's. Listened to B&W 805s's as well as many others over the years. These are head and shoulders above any that I've heard. I was told by the owner of Silverline that these are alot more speaker than the 17 model these replaced.

What a great woofer. Really matches up well with my monitors. I've owned Velodyne DD-12. Prefer this. The Velodyne is a great sub. This is a better match for me. I don't know why this is not on the Silverline website. It was a new model when I got the 17.5's.

My favorite piece of equipment. Beautiful to look at. The best turntable I ever heard. I upgraded the tonearm to a Triplanar. Would like to upgrade the platter to the 30 pound one.

One of the smartest upgrades I ever made. It made a hugh difference over the VPI 12.6. I love this arm!

The best cartridge I ever heard. To be fair I have not heard another cartridge that costs this much. I will say I can't even imagine a cartridge sounding better.

VPI Industries SDS
It seems to do the job for me. This is a must have item (or something similar) if you have a ac sync. motor. Keeps speed constant and lowers voltage - that make your table quieter.

My only retro piece. It is an outstanding tuner. I previously owned a FT-101. This tuner is far superior. Really cool looking tuner!

Krell 8' Speaker Cable
I use these to drive the woofers in my monitors. I prefer the sound with them bi-wired. I know some people say your cables should be the same when you bi-wire. All I know is my rig sounds better bi-wired than when I run the retros alone.

Amazing to read time and time again how guys move from SS gear into tubes and really love the change. Enjoyed reading the comments on the canary amps. Presently I have a tube integrated and would like to make the move to separates when possible. Would like to see pics of your total system if possible. Enjoy.
