I just saw your post from last year. The Aric 300b is a warmer sound signature. I have it pushing some 100 db folded horn speakers now.

I still go back and forth between the 300b and M10X. I ended up liking the Motherload preamp so much I sold the Luxman C900 preamp. The tube preamp gives it a little warmer sound which works good with the Sopra speakers.

I would say different not better however. The Luxman M10X is a beast.
