I like your system's look and have an affinity for your speakers.
My system:
Denafrips Gaia DDC
Denefrips Terminator Dac
PS Audio BHK Signature Pre Amplifier (tubed input stage)
Pass Labs X260.8 Mono Amplifiers (2)
Martin Logan Expression ESL 13A Electrostatic Speakers
SVS PB 16-Ultra Subwoofer
Sony Blu Ray UBP-X800 CD/Blu Ray Player
You can see that we have the same speakers.
I currently listen to streaming music from a Windows 10 computer that is about 5 feet away from the 2 channel electronics with the Gaia DDC cleaning up the signal as well.
I am interested in getting a dedicated server from Aurender and the N200 is on my list as are the higher costing Aurenders.
Since we have the same speakers, I have a few questions about your streaming experience.
1) What made you choose the N200 and why are you pleased, or not, with your decision?
2) Did you hear other streamers with these speakers before this selection? What did you like or not like about them?
3) What would you choose if you wanted to replace the Aurender N200?
Thank you for your answers. I feel your equipment should give you a lot of musical enjoyment.
Great system! I saw your post regarding a quest for a DAC. After looking at your system, I thought I would reach out to you. This may seem self-serving, but I have a used Playback Design Merlot DAC on consignment with Audio Archon in Chicago. I thought this might be of interest to you because I also use CODA electronics and it is a very synergistic pairing with the Playback Design products. I recently upgraded to the Playback Design MPD-6, but the Merlot is excellent! Extremely musical, huge soundstage. The PBD gear is the most "non digital" sounding DACS I have ever heard. The Merlot was very well reviewed and sounds great with the CODA gear. If you have interest, you could contact MIke Kay of Audio Archon for more details. He is a PBD and CODA dealer, so he would be a great resource on the pairing. Don't know where you are located, but he has my Merlot in Chicago, if you would like to hear an audition with CODA electronics. Good luck on your search!
Good job. Looks very neat and tidy, nice components. I have one comment: years ago I had a wood coffee table in front of my listening position. I took it out of the room one day and discovered some amount of "glare" was bouncing off the table and right in my face. It never made it back into the room.
You might want to try to remove that glass table as an experiment.
Very nice neat room. Because of the hard glass surfaces on the left, I would listen with the drapes drawn shut or you can try toeing-in the left speaker to reduce high frequency reflection somewhat. For sure I would move the speakers out from the wall behind them as much as you can without encroaching too much on living space. It's fun experimenting!
