@lalitk It’s not the one in the picture, but I’ve now been using a Tri-Planar U12 SE tonearm, which is one of the best tonearms engineered today. I am a Tri-Planar dealer, as the company is local to me here in Minnesota. Please send me a private message if you have interest in learning more about it. Happy to answer any questions.
@lalitk I hear you, absolutely. It will most likely happen, just a matter of priority between upgrading the floor system and investing in customer inventory. Kicking off my business as a dealer has been a fun challenge! Should you want to trade anything in towards an N30SA or MC20 if you don’t have them already, let me know. I’ll do everything I can to work with you!
@blisshifi, I hear you on internal clocks within T+A and N30 but my experience with external clocks has been nothing but stellar. A external clock in a ultra high resolution system like yours can be a bit of game changer :-)
@lalitk Thank you! I was eyeing rhe MC20 at AXPONA and it certainly piqued my interest. It might be something I add, but the internal clocks in both the N30SA and T+A reference DAC are already very stellar. The itch is there, so who knows?
Blisshifi, it's a wonderful system you have assembled, I'm sure I would be very envious if I were fortunate enough to hear it, but considering the distance, and my age, it's not likely to happen.
Thank you, @jond! Yes what you refer to are Synergistic Research HFT Speaker kits. They act as tiny little transducers that help battle standing waves and phasing issues to help the speakers’ resolution and enable them to more easily disappear into the room. I use other HFTs around the room and the effect is notable.
Jaw dropping system! And so well color coordinated and those Vicoustic diffusers are so cool looking. One question there seem to be bolts protruding from the front and sides of your speakers are they for tuning purposes?
Absolutely stunning system with an equally beautiful thoughtfully structured matching listening environment. Had a dealership in town that carried T+A and loved what I heard but I was already deep into tube equipment by then. Sure you have exquisite days/evenings of musical bliss with family and friends. System too nice not to share. Maybe you could even turn Larry....always one. Enjoy the music.

I see that you have Isoacoustics Gaia on the TT feet. I have not seen that. Did you try other devices and if so what did you try and what was the difference. I have found Isoacoustics to be just right under solid state components and in place of feet on my rack.
@jjbechto I went for the SVS SB-4000 over the SB16 Ultra for a few reasons:
1. Bigger woofers that reach lower frequencies are often not “faster”. I wanted the quality of the carbon-like driver in a sealed enclosure that could perform as fast as possible with the music. I’m predominantly using the sub for soundstage improvement and clarity across the frequency range vs adding thump.
2. My room is medium sized, and two of the SB-4000 are sufficient. I also didn’t want the footprint of a larger sub taking up more space.
3. I didn’t go for another sub brand because of a cost for value ratio. I respect REL, but the subs are incredibly expensive if you want them to go lower than 20hz at -3db. Also, SVS’ DSP capabilities and ability to adjust everything (crossover, phase degrees, parametric EQ, etc) through their mobile app from my listening chair is priceless as proper sub integration is such a pain in the butt.
Incredible system. Love the T+A stuff and the overall aesthetic. Curious: obviously the $ difference is negligible for you - why did you go with the SB-4000 over the SB16-Ultra (or a sub beyond that)?
Beautiful system so much to learn from here. Looks like you may live in an area that might be quiet. Hopefully you don't have annoying landscaper leaf blowing noise all day long.
