Selling my beloved Revel 228be speakers. I was out of the hobby for 25 years, and these Revels were my re-entry. I have been more than pleased with their overall performance---imaging, soundstage, clarity, low distortion, great grip, great bass (particularly after moving to Pass electronics). They play great at all volumes without any evident strain. Read the reviews if you want reassurance.
I am the second owner. The first owner had left the protective wrap on the speakers and after I removed it, there was some residue from the adhesive which I stupidly tried to remove with the coarse side of a sponge, so there is light scratching on the front of the speakers, but this is only visible during the daytime with the grills off and even then, it is hard to see as I have them set up with the sun facing the back of them. As far as functionality goes, they are perfect.
