For Sale:Revel Salon 1 - Black Panels
Up for sale is a pair of original Revel Salon 1's. One owner pair in a smoke free environment. These were extremely well reviewed by Stereophile; most notable for prodigious LF extension and detail.
Driver complement: 1.1" aluminum-alloy dome tweeter, 0.75" rear tweeter, 4" titanium-dome midrange driver, 6.5" midbass driver, three 8" woofers. Crossover frequencies: 125Hz, 450Hz, 2.2kHz; 8kHz for rear tweeter.
The rear tweeter adds air and spaciousness to the soundstage, and rear panel level adjustments for both front and rear tweeters as well as low frequency adjustment.
Minor blemishes are noted in the photos. Grills and black gloss body are in great shape, the bulk of blemishes are on the side panels. Also note lowish sensitivity at 86 dB/Watt/meter, so low output tubes need not apply.
These are phenomenal speakers and despite their vintage would make a first rate sound system at a bargain price!
