NAKAMICHI DRAGON – The absolute best cassette deck ever made in very nice conditions for sale due to lack of use. 8.5/10 for age! This Dragon Auto Reverse 3 heads cassette deck is being sold as is! The last time my partner played a cassette on this deck was almost twenty years ago. It does not play gentlemen; it needs service! Most likely there are dried-up belts and little motors that need maintenance since it played for five minutes and it stopped working.
This unit is priced fairly for someone that wants it and is willing to send it to a specialist tech and bring it back to full spec for another twenty years of enjoyment since they go fully serviced between $3000 and $6000 depending on conditions. Will ship in a custom case. The Nakamichi Dragon cassette decks have left me cold, trading convenience for ultimate sonic performance. But the Dragon is in a class of its own.  I truly wish I had sprung for one when they were introduced instead of buying the CD player that my local HiFi dealer convinced me was the wave of the future.
Even though music servers have all but made the mix tape obsolete, there is still something special about planning out a few custom tapes that you create yourself. If this sounds like fun to you, watch eBay for the Nakamichi you desire (I highly suggest a Dragon) and give Willy a call.  You’ll be glad you did.
