This is a sister model of the Tri Tracer Nakamichi 1000. It is an authentic 3-head cassette deck that challenges the limits and possibilities of cassette.
It uses a full 3-head system, a ferrite core recording head, an erasing head, and a hard super permalloy core reproducing head with a narrow gap of 0.7 μ m. In addition to the constant tension effect produced by the double-gap capstan system, it also has good adhesion to the tape, and plays flat f-characteristics up to high frequencies.
In order to cope with the vertical displacement of the tape and the head caused by the distortion during the molding of the cassette case, the recording head vertical adjustment function by the alignment beacon is equipped.
It is equipped with an adjustment mechanism that records and reproduces the built-in 400 Hz signal and detects its output with the advance and delay of the phase. Adjustment can be made simply by turning the knob while observing the blinking of the two emitting diodes.
Equipped with control by IC logic circuit, all tape controls can be operated with one touch.
In addition, the timing of the read / write amplifier, bias oscillation and mechanism operation is completely controlled to suppress the occurrence of click noise.
Other than that, it is equipped with mechanisms such as muting of signal sound and memory counter.
The level meter is equipped with a dB peak level meter so that there is no need to worry about over-recording caused by the pointer not being able to follow sharp peak input like general VU meters.
We have overcome the mechanical accuracy limit of cassette tapes from the closed loop and double capstan drive side.
Characteristics such as wow flutter have been improved by the use of a DC-servo motor and the effect of two flywheels which are large to the limit and increase effective mass.
It is equipped with a switching device for low-noise tape and chrome tape. The low-noise tape has a correction circuit with time constants of 120 us and 1590 us, and the chrome tape has a correction circuit with time constants of 70 us and 3180 us to obtain characteristics suitable for each tape.
Equipped with a pitch control that can change the tape speed by ± 6% during playback.
With a built-in limiter circuit, excessive input of + 3 dB or more is automatically reduced to approximately 1/7, suppressing generation of distortion.
Equipped with a 3-point pickup, left and right channel inputs as well as a blend microphone input, you can freely mix sound effects, vocals and solo.
It uses a head base mechanism with a damper mechanism to improve adhesion with the tape.
Equipped with a 0 dB level calibration device, it can be adjusted for low-noise tape and chrome tape.
Dolby noise reduction is built-in.
