Hifiman EF1000 Headphone and Speaker Amplifier

With headphone models as advanced as the Susvara, Susvara Unveiled, and other hard to drive planar magnetic headphones, it is crucial that such headphones be driven by a powerful, high-caliber headphone amplifier.   The EF1000 is the HiFiMan top-of-the-line amplifier for planar magnetic headphones and utilizes a separate power supply design.  Its SSRP circuit uses six 6922 vacuum tubes and six pairs of transmitters in parallel.  The result is a perfect combination of the beautiful sound from the vacuum tubes and the powerful output of a solid-state amp.  This integrated amplifier can drive both headphones and speakers.  The headphones can be driven from either of two headphone output jacks, one for ¼ inch RCA and one for 4-pin XLR connectors.  The headphone output is 20w, pure Class A.  Speakers are driven off gold-plated spade/banana jacks off the rear of the unit.  The amplifier speaker output is 50w, pure Class A and 110w, Class A/B.  There are three line-level RCA inputs and one balanced XLR input.  The EF1000 volume control uses the same relay-based attenuator technology as the SHANGRI-LA Senior amp.  The amplifier offers silky smooth response and ultra-low distortion from its use of dedicated circuits.

Of an extensive list of headphone and amp combinations that I have purchased and auditioned over the past year, it was the Susvara driven by the EF1000 that won out.  Nevertheless, I have found a combination that slightly improves on this pairing, the Warwick Acoustic Aperio system, thus the reason for the sale of the Susvara and EF1000. 

The amplified and power supply are shipped in their own dedicated hard-sided Pelican equipment cases housed inside cardboard shipping boxes so shipping will be more expensive than is typical.  The amp comes with remote and user manual.  Paypal is the preferred method of payment, and I will cover the fee.  Please contact me with any questions.
