4 bass traps (4" each) and one in each corner of the room. Two acoustic panels for the first reflection point. They are covered by Burlap bought at Walmart. The fiberglass is OF , 2" each piece.
Rumadian, thanks. Yeah....i think the same way you do...:)
Bobgates, yes, mine has phono stage. However, i don't have budget right now...:), but i'll eventually get one. Besides, i don't have much experience in phono so i will need to learn more.
Hvu - that's a very nice system; your choice of components is exactly what I would have picked. Unless I'm mistaken I believe the Plinius has a phono stage; are you planning to add a turntable down the road?
Highend64, I plug plinius directly to Panamax. Timrhu, I buy wood (1"x3" , 6ft long. The actual size is 1"x2.5"). Then, I cut it (for one panel) as followed: 2 pieces of 24" and 2 pieces of 50". Screw them together with drywall screw. If you have someone helps you out, the process is much faster. Remember put wood clue between joint.
Next step is cover the Fiberglass with white bating from Walmart. Now, you can put covered fiberglass into frame. Cover the frame with burlap (also from Walmart). Last step is cover the back of the frame with any fabric.
I got most tips from forum audiocircle.com ( Acoustic section). I hope this will help.
The beauty of your system is its simplicity; absolutely gorgeous. Can you explain the process for building your panels? They look to be very well made. Also, the Picaso is a very nice touch.
