Description

A very great system especially for the price. I have $5000 in the system

including the tv a toshiba 65H84 65" widescreen high def. The stereo is not set up the best it could be and the reason for this is that I live in

a apartment and I am limited spacewise and this setup is the best compromise. I live in Carmel Indiana so if anyone is in the aera or is comming to the area I would be happy to demonsteate the system. I am actually interested in starting an audio club in the area so if anyone is interested please contact me. Comments on my system would be appreciated. Thanks for checking my system out, happy listening :)

Thanks for the advice. I just have a few questions though. What kind of preamp would you suggest for me. I have found that the maggies are more than capable of handeling the bass and see no reason to direct the bass away from them but my goals for the near future include getting a new center channel probably a maggie, getting a pre amp for my subs because the sub out on my reciever I find somewhat lacking, thus the use of the B R/L channels running to the subs (The line level has more punch) What would be the best way to upgrade the downstream components but still keep the 5 channel stereo. Again thanks for the advice any help would be appreciated.

Getting rid of the receiver in favor of a pre/pro is going to give you leaps and bounds more dynamics for DD/DTS movies...if your receiver has those features.
Receivers are soft dynamically, even from the preamp section. Other than that, trying new amps and cableing is going to help. Also, SET THE PRE/PRO OR RECEIVER(which you have) TO "SMALL"!!! You should not be driving the maggies (or most any speaker) bellow 80hz. That should be dedicated to the powered active subwoofer, which does a much better job of handling dynamic bass info.
Good luck
